The University of Maia is pleased to host the first edition of the
UMAIA Psychology PhD Forum, a two-day international meeting that brings together PhD students, early-career researchers, supervisors, and the wider academic community to present research, discuss methods, strengthen scientific skills, and build academic networks.
The Forum responds to key needs in doctoral training:
- developing scientific communication skills through oral and poster presentations;
- discussing ongoing and completed research projects;
- strengthening qualitative and quantitative methodological skills;
- supporting scientific publishing, funding applications, and research planning;
- fostering collaboration between doctoral students, supervisors, research groups, and national and international participants.
Under the theme
Methods, Research & Impact, this first edition will focus on the links between methodological development, research quality, and scientific impact in Psychology. Through research presentations, hands-on workshops, plenary sessions, and networking moments, the Forum aims to support doctoral researchers at every stage of their academic journey.
