Abstracts



 Abstract Submission

  • Individual authors may submit a maximum of 2 abstracts as first author.
  •  Abstracts must be submitted under one of following categories:
    • CreativeLab (e.g. talent development, creativity and collective behaviour, performance analysis, differential learning, constraint-led approaches)
    • GERON (e.g. exercise and health, ageing, chronic diseases, green exercise)
    • STRONG (e.g. sports performance, computational fluid dynamics, strength & conditioning, evaluation and testing)
    • NanoSTIMA (e.g. wearable technology, exercise and health, monitoring)
    • Multidisciplinary (e.g. physical education, pedagogy, sports management)
  • Authors should indicate their preferred type of presentation - Oral or Poster. This, however, cannot be guaranteed and will be communicated on acceptance.
  • The use of the  Abstract Template    is mandatory and the abstracts must be prepared in English.​
     

Abstract Guidelines

  • Abstracts are to be no more than 400 words or 2000 characters without references. Figures and tables can be included.
  • Use standard abbreviations only. Within the body of the abstract, when using abbreviations spell out the name in full at the first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis.
  • Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract.
  • Abstracts must contain sufficient information so that if published it will be a complete report independent of presentation.
  • The abstract should not contain statements alluding to results or conclusions not presented within the text. 

 

 


Abstract Publication

 

Accepted abstracts will be published in a special edition of the journal Motricidade*.

 

* It is currently included in some of the most important international databases of indexation and abstracts, such as the ISI Web of Knowledge/Scielo Citation Index (Thomson Reuters), Elsevier (SCOPUS, EMCare), SCImago (SJR: Medicine, Health Professions), PsycINFO, IndexCopernicus, Scielo, CABI, Qualis, SPORTDiscus, EBSCO, CINAHL, Proquest, DOAJ, Redalyc, Latindex, Gale/Cengage Learning, SIIC Databases, BVS ePORTUGUESe, SHERPA/RoMEO, OCLC, Hinari/WHO, Swets Information Services, among others.
Motricidade will handle the language editing before publication.
